IMSF 2008 AGA and Workshop Conference

 

Call for papers / presentations

We would welcome any contribution for the workshops which should be sent as an abstract of 1 page until May 2008 via e-mail to the local organising committee. The scope of topics in the workshop conference is expected to be very much in line with the objectives of the IMSF:

-         To contribute to improvements in training, operation and in the maritime industry through the use of simulation.

-         To provide an effective medium for the interchange of ideas and experience by members of the Forum.

-         To develop performance criteria for the use of simulators in maritime training and research.

-         To collaborate with other organizations involved in maritime simulation.

Starting from these objectives the following topics can be seen for this conference (but are not limited to these examples)

 

1.      Application of Simulator Systems in Education, Training and Research,

including the following aspects, to be discussed potentially in an extra workshop

-          Human factor / Study on mariner’s characteristics for the safe navigation

-          Training courses for instructors using maritime simulators

2.      Manoeuvrability and Mathematical Modelling for simulation

including the following aspects, to be discussed potentially in an extra workshop

-          Simulator documentations provided by  manufacturers

3.      Development of Simulator Systems
