How to get to    Maritime Simulation Centre Warnemünde

Rostock has an airport; however, it is served by small planes from certain airports only. This Airport “Flughafen Rostock-Laage (RLG)” is located about 30 km south of Rostock , connected by bus shuttles, taxi, or car rental s.

So it is sometimes more convenient to fly to the following bigger German airports and to proceed by train to Rostock Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) or to rent a car.

·         Airport Hamburg (about 200 km west of Rostock , most suitable because of efficient train connection to Rostock-Main station)

·         Airport Berlin-Tegel (about 250 km south of Rostock )

·         Airport Berlin-Schoenefeld (about 250 km south of Rostock )

·         Airport Berlin-Tempelhof  (about 250 km south of Rostock )

To Rostock Central Station – Hauptbahnhof there are a lot of trains, among others from Hamburg , Frankfurt/Main, Bremen , Berlin .

From to Rostock Central Station – Hauptbahnhof you can get to Warnemünde by a fast train (S-Bahn) within 20 min.

Either you can leave the train at station „Bahnhof Warnemuende Werft“ which is by feet 5 Minutes away from MSCW, or you can proceed to station „Bahnhof Warnemuende “ for using taxis or it takes you 15 minutes by feet to reach any Hotel in Warnemuende or MSCW.

from West: E 22   Groningen ( Netherlands ) - Bremen - Hamburg - Luebeck - Wismar -

          Warnemuende (leave Autobahn A20 at Exit “Rostock West”)

From East: E 22   Sassnitz – Stralsund – Ribnitz/Damgarten - Rostock - Warnemuende

From South: E 55   Praha ( Czech Republic ) - Dresden - Berlin - Wittstock - Rostock   - Warnemuende (leave Autobahn A20 at Exit “Rostock West”)
